What to Expect!

The thought of having pictures taken makes many people's stomachs roll. It is never easy stepping in front a camera...even for us photographers! But it helps ease the nerves a bit when you know what to expect before, during, and after your photoshoot.

Before Your Shoot...

So you've decided to hire Mod Style Lab to create your headshots or portraits...now what? The next step is scheduling a time for your photo session. The best way to do this is via email or text message. You will want to offer your full name, preferred times, and your phone number.

The day before your session, you will receive a reminder text message of your appointment time.

During Your Photo Session

The first thing we will do is sit down for a few minutes to discuss what you are looking for in your final images.

Next, you will read over the photography agreement and pay for your selected package.

Now it is time for the main event! I will show you where to stand/sit and what directions/guidance to expect to hear from me during the shoot. We will usually take a few test shots for me to adjust the lighting. Then I will start snapping away, pausing occasionally to look at my computer monitor.

Rest assured that you are not alone in feeling awkward...everyone does. But those feeling will ease up during the shoot when you start to realize how easy it is!

After Your Photoshoot...

We will take a lot of images during your session, and these images are captured in a raw color format (the images have to be developed). I will handpick the final images from the session and send yo a link to these "proof" images via email. Most clients receive between 15 and 25 proof images (these are not your purchased images) in an online gallery from our time together from which you will select which images will be developed/retouched/edited and completed. The number of images to be retouched and digitally delivered to you is usually between 2 and 5 depending on the package you decide to purchase.
